vpi Lawrence Open House
VPI Lawrence, Employment Service Centre held an open house to showcase the great work they are doing to help the community. VPI is an ally and service provider for the Province of Ontario. They work with unemployed and underemployed people to help them: navigate the Canadian job market, develop a plan of action to find suitable employment and job readiness workshops. The Lawrence Employment Service Centre delivers a wide range of employment and career planning services including; access to job placement, assistance with identifying skills training needs and learning about options available, referrals to apprenticeship and government funded programs such as Second Career as well as ongoing support throughout the application process. Attending the open house to help celebrate their great work were many employees from the 11 branches, clients as well as Toronto City Councillor for Ward 15 Josh Colle and MPP for Eglington Lawrence Mike Colle who presented VPI with a certificate honouring their contribution.
