motionball's Annual Marathon of Sport

In an intense day of flag football, volleyball, floor hockey, soccer and ultimate Frisbee, 30 teams (each with $2,500+ in pledges) competed on May 29th alongside Special Olympic athletes. The Marathon of Sport is the highlight of motionball’s fundraising calendar. motionball is a Canadian, non-profit organization dedicated to integrating Special Olympic athletes and the next generation of volunteers, donors and sponsors through social and sporting events. Each competing team consisted of supporters and one star player, a Special Olympic athlete. This year they surpassed their goal of raising $100,000 in one day for Special Olympics Canada. The Air Miles Legacy raised the most money for Special Olympics Canada and had two teams in the Marathon of Sport. Additionally, they ran an internal raffle (along with a company matching program) to raise additional funds totaling $12,434. For more information, visit www.motionball.com
