An Evening With Anita Diamant

Anita Diamant is a Boston-based writer and lecturer whose first novel, The Red Tent, won the 2001 Book Sense Book of the Year Award and was a national bestseller. On May 27th, Anita was at Beth Tzedec Congregation of Toronto to discuss her new book Day After Night. The event was also held to raise funds for Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (CHW), a women’s non-profit organization dedicated to the support of children, healthcare, and women in Israel and Canada. The Dor L’Dor chapter is made up of passionate young women between the ages of 26 and 32. Each year, Dor L’Dor raises much needed funds for their projects and are responsible for the education of over 8,000 children from many different backgrounds in Israel. In the GTA, funds raised support their NICU Patient Room at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. For more information, visit www.chw.ca
