Official launch of Team Villa at Columbus Centre
Team Villa was officially launched on January 26th, 2010 at the Columbus Centre. On October 24, 2010, Team Villa will represent Villa Charities Foundation in the 25th anniversary of the Venice Marathon. The picturesque marathon route of canals and bridges is the perfect backdrop for Villa Charities Foundation supporters to be tourists and athletes in the beautiful city of Venice. Team Villa Coach Michael Brennan, a renowned marathon coach, spoke at the event about the upcoming months and the intense training the team members will have to endure in order to be ready for the physical and emotional demands of the Venice Marathon, in addition to fundraising. All proceeds from Team Villa – Venice 2010 will help Villa Charities in continuing to build on almost 40 years of delivering culturally sensitive programmes to the community. The launch served as a great opportunity for the community to meet the members of Team Villa and learn about the commitment each is making to the team, to themselves and to Villa Charities Foundation.
