Figure Skating Performances in Town Square
Each Saturday and Sunday in January and February, Shops at Don Mills is hosting Figure Skating performances on the rink from 12 noon to 2 PM.
Skaters on the ice all train locally at the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club, under dynamic team of coaches led by World Champion and two-time Olympic Silver Medalist Brian Orser and World and Olympic Bronze Medalist Tracy Wilson. The Cricket Club hosts skating programs that range from CanSkate, Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program, up to elite programs for International competitors.
The high level skaters on the ice range in age from 12 to 18 years. All have competed at the Section level, and many will skate at the 2010 Canadian National Figure Skating Championships. They skate five days a week or more and also maintain rigorous off-ice training schedules.
