Highway 61 Southern Barbeque always seems to have someone playing music upstairs. Why plan an evening when you can simply pick a night, drop by and be surprised. My surprise? The Homeless band were on hand for awesome tunes on February 10th. The band describes their own music as "blending native Latin influences with the classic sounds of soul and R&B". That night, 2 of the bands members were playing the crowd: Mr. J. Vazquez and Josh Cohen and they did not disappoint. Along with the ribs and the local craft beers, it was great evening. Surprises don't always come in small boxes.
