2008 July > Peace Tree Day

The weather was perfect, and the kids were all out to celebrate Toronto’s Peace Tree Day at Denlow Public School. All cultures seemed to be represented, from Greek, to Jewish, to Indian. African Drumming accompined visitors as they learned all about Origami, Mehndi and how to create a community peace. The proceeds generated at this event all went to Free the Children, China Earthquake Relief, and the UNICEF Myanmar/Burma Appeal. Now the smiles shared on this day will have the chance to spread to those who really need them.
