Junior League of Toronto
On January 16th, 2007, The Junior League of Toronto (JLT) held its first volunteer member recruitment night of 2007. The JLT is a non-for-profit, charitable organization that provides volunteer services to Toronto communities. The JLT has been an integral member of the community for over 80 years. Junior League members have contributed millions of volunteer hours in expertise, enthusiasm and hard work and over $4 million to support or initiate over 400 community projects.
Members of the JLT believe that collectively, through promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and positively impacting our community, they make our community a better place. Members come from diverse backgrounds, including stay-at-home mothers, investment bankers, school teachers and entrepreneurs. Projects undertaken by the Junior League include Kids in the Kitchen, an initiative that educates and promotes healthy eating among children and youth.
The Junior League of Toronto (JLT) welcomes all women interested in volunteering time to improving the community and making a difference. For more information on the Junior League of Toronto, visit their website at www.jlt.org or call at 416-485-4218
